About Me

Hiya! I’m Esther — it’s lovely to have you here.

I’m a UX designer who loves to make digital spaces easier and kinder for everyone. I design with accessibility in mind at every step, from research to UI.

As someone who’s dyslexic — with a family full of different accessibility needs — I know firsthand how important inclusive design is. Everyone should feel welcome and supported online.

I believe in tech for good.

I’ve worked with small companies and mental health charities — something you’ll see throughout my portfolio. That’s included everything from website redesigns to outreach materials: Instagram graphics, leaflets, posters, banners, and accessibility consultations.

I love working on projects where design can make a real difference — especially for people in vulnerable situations.

How I got into UX

I first learned about UX when I was 15. I was in the car, ranting to my dad about how impossibly confusing our school’s intranet was. I couldn’t find anything I needed — and worse, I knew some of my friends with learning difficulties were struggling even more.

He paused, then asked, “Have you ever heard about UX?”
And just like that… I was doomed. (Kidding. Sort of.)

No matter what industries I explored as I fumbled through the wonderful world of working and becoming an adult, I kept coming back to UX design.

So what, Esther? Why should I care?

Fair question. There are loads of talented UX designers out there — and I make it my mission to learn from them.

I’m still early in my career, but that gives me a real advantage: I’m flexible, curious, and always soaking up the newest ideas and best practices. After recently completing a Level 7 UX Design course with Kings College London, I’ve learned how to recognise what’s a lasting principle and what’s likely just a short-term trend.

I’m research-driven. Every design I make is backed by multiple sources — whether that’s accessibility guidelines, psychology insights, or user behaviour data. I’m not here to make things pretty just for the sake of it. I’m here to make things work — for everyone.

I’m not perfect. But I’m passionate. About thoughtful design, accessibility, and the small ways digital designs can make someone's stressful day slightly less stressful.
